Mission 1- Creativity

Brief and Conclusions

I found that note taking was really useful, as it ensured that I understood the information I was researching. Brainstorming my thoughts was another very useful process it helped me decode some of the complex information that I was researching and was very easy to share with my group via our Snapchat “GIF Mission”. Although not all the information I recorded was relevant (most of it really wasn’t, I wish I had put some of that time towards the presentation rather than that, it was a learning process though!), noting down the information I found relevant contributed to my ability to form an overview reflection of my work and helped me improve.

Despite all the information I received from my research the process of making the GIFs still seemed difficult but using the app “Shortcuts” made that so much easier and enjoyable (of course because it meant less work for us), what I learned was we don’t need 10 slides on information/ research, and to add more slides on our processes of our GIF making.

The communication between the three of us also helped us create the GIFs quicker and more efficiently and just finish the mission on a good note, as Francis had past experience it made this mission so much smoother to finish, there were no major difficulties unlike the other missions, which was all thanks to Francis’s understanding of the process, what and how to make GIFs, even if we didn’t have Francis in our group we would’ve figured it out but having him gave us that head start.

I don’t think I would change anything about how this mission went if I could, other than maybe talk more about the process of the GIF-making during the presentation. I really liked how this mission went and also liked the people I was working with which always makes the process better.

Shaun told us to work with people we didn’t really know for this mission since it was our first but I thought that would’ve been too awkward and kind of uncomfortable, I’m glad I worked with Francis and Tochi for this mission. Were also told to spend 30 hours on this mission which we didn't do, I think all in all we spent 10-15 hours each, so we took that to learn from for our next missions.

I learned a lot from this mission especially since it was my first, after it I thought all the other missions would go this well and be this enjoyable to do, it set the bar high.

In conclusion, I believe that good communication and research skills played a vital role in this mission and without that I would not be able to have completed this mission. This was by far the most enjoyable mission of all the three I’ve done and I hope that the other missions go as well as this one did. I learned a lot from this mission and hope Francis and Tochi both did too.
