In this mission, we got into groups of three, again… and were asked to study and investigate the historical relationship between journalism and media technologies. Megan, Ania and I decided to do our video on how the internet has made new modalities of communication possible. We had many ideas on our minds but we figured it would be best to do our video on how modern news works, where I posed as the celebrity and Ania and Megan as the paparazzi.
Like every other mission, we made a WhatsApp group chat where we all contributed to it with our ideas, up comming meet ups, locations etc. We communicated a lot on this group chat, which was very useful.

At first though, we were going to do this mission on the farm market, but realised that might be a little boring and we didn’t want anyone to fall asleep, so we decided to do it on the latest celeb news, but our own version of it so we came up with this idea one of the nights after realising how boring it was to do it on the farm markets, we got really excited and had so many different ideas for this mission, some we didn’t use like the “Logan Paul vs KSI fight”, where Ania would pose as Logan Paul and we would’ve got someone else to pose as KSI, and they would “fight”, but we didn’t have enough time in our video to add that in so we stuck to only two head stories  “Kylie Jenner pregnant with Baby number 5” and “Lindsey Lohan’s 7th breakdown whilst cutting her hair” (We exaggerated with the titles because none of them we didn't want any of them to be near realistic)
Taking the videos was for this mission was really fun (but watching it later on was so cringe for me because my acting was so bad and I kept laughing), we brought in props like different outfits, hair extensions, sunglasses, a scarf- to act as the baby bump, liquid lipstick, for Kylie, none of which looked real or was meant to look it as this was fake news and NOT REAL. We used all of our phones and a Film camera for this mission.
We filmed the entire video in one day, I had to change my clothes in the bathrooms on the college campus, to play the different roles which was so hard and disgusting, I also saw a spider in the bathroom which ruined my day. 
Since we were the hosts of this News channel “Celebrity Addict” we decided to give each other fake names, mine was “Yolanda”, Megan’s was “Filet” and Ania’s was “Gloria”.
The video was edited very simply as none of us really had much experience using editing apps, we watched a few youtube videos to get a better understanding.

Mission 2 - Culture Post 2/3

Mission 2- Culture Resources Blog post 2/3- Digital Privacy 25-9/10+11/19 For our resources we used many different websites and search engines which we referenced in our powerpoint. For our experiment we mainly used Youtube, Safari and Notes. Typing out the research I carried out helped in the sense of I kept referring to it and using it as guidelines to what I should put in the PowerPoint, I definitely will be using this method in the next mission, as it really helped with time keeping and staying in track, the information I typed out in the notes was backed up by iCloud so I had that information on my phone, MacBook and iPad so I could look over it whenever and wherever I wanted.
