Mission 2- Culture Resources Blog post 2/3- Digital Privacy 25-9/10+11/19 For our resources we used many different websites and search engines which we referenced in our powerpoint. For our experiment we mainly used Youtube, Safari and Notes. Typing out the research I carried out helped in the sense of I kept referring to it and using it as guidelines to what I should put in the PowerPoint, I definitely will be using this method in the next mission, as it really helped with time keeping and staying in track, the information I typed out in the notes was backed up by iCloud so I had that information on my phone, MacBook and iPad so I could look over it whenever and wherever I wanted. So after brainstorming all the different things we can do our project about, we chose to do our experiment on how our search engines for ad purposes, to prove this we used. For our experiment, we used Safari on my phone, to see if we got an ad for the cameras, and the app we us

Mission 3 - Methodology Resources Blog post 2/3 - Digital Journalism  25-8/11+12/19 For this mission we used many different kinds of resources like websites and search engines, we watched videos on youtube, of youtube news to get inspiration from, we also used Megan's film camera to record the video of us being hosts, we then used our phones for the videos from the "paparazzi's" aspects, we use Premier Pro to edit the video, we also recorded voice memos while filming our video in case the microphone from the camera wasn't good enough, but it was so we didn't end up using that. The research part of this mission was the most fun of all, because I had to mostly watch videos of different news channels, after getting inspired we decided to make our news very fake and unrealistic hence why Kylie was pregnant with her fifth baby and Lindsey was cutting her hair after breakdown on camera. We found a small empty room on campus after looking for a w

Mission 3 - Methodology Brief and Conclusions Blog post 3/3 - Digital Journalism  10/12/19 I found that this mission was the one that I enjoyed the most as it really tested my Creativity and made me think outside the box, and once again brainstorming my ideas on a mind map was very useful. It forced me to jot down ideas and evaluate them. We met up and shared our ideas and after brainstorming and evaluating I felt like I was a lot more prepared. We chose the name "Celebrity Addict" for our mission, as we found it catchy. I learned that I had a lot more creativity than I thought and that itself made this mission a lot more enjoyable to work on.  Working on the mission with the girls in my group really brought another perspective of humour that I really found funny and humorous (my family and friends had a lot of fun teasing me about my cringy acting).  Another aspect of digital media I quite enjoy is the process of filming, as far as I can remember, I lo

Mission 2 - Culture Brief and Conclusion Blog post 3/3 - Digital Privacy 14/11/19 I learned a lot from this mission, which is always a plus, this mission has been the most rewarding knowledge wise. Being able to communicate comfortably with the team also really helped to work through this mission. I learned things I hadn't known before or hadn't realised. I found that note taking and research helped a lot in this mission unlike the last one, this one majorly relied on research. In our first meet up after becoming a group and deciding what topic we chose, we met up in the canteen for an hour or so and talked about how we were going to prepare for our presentation. We spoke about what we would research, if we were going to be given different goals or work together on the overall project. After that was done we decided to make an open google slide so where ever we were we could all add work to the slide and we could all see

Mission 3 - Methodology   Process Blog post 1/3 - Digital Journalism  14-24/11/19 In this mission, we got into groups of three, again… and were asked to study and investigate the historical relationship between journalism and media technologies. Megan, Ania and I decided to do our video on how the internet has made new modalities of communication possible. We had many ideas on our minds but we figured it would be best to do our video on how modern news works, where I posed as the celebrity and Ania and Megan as the paparazzi. Like every other mission, we made a WhatsApp group chat where we all contributed to it with our ideas, up comming meet ups, locations etc. We communicated a lot on this group chat, which was very useful. At first though, we were going to do this mission on the farm market, but realised that might be a little boring and we didn’t want anyone to fall asleep, so we decided to do it on the latest celeb news, but our own version of it so we came u

Mission 1- Creativity Brief and Conclusions Blog 3/3 - GIFs 17/10/19 I found that note taking was really useful, as it ensured that I understood the information I was researching. Brainstorming my thoughts was another very useful process it helped me decode some of the complex information that I was researching and was very easy to share with my group via our Snapchat “GIF Mission”. Although not all the information I recorded was relevant (most of it really wasn’t, I wish I had put some of that time towards the presentation rather than that, it was a learning process though!), noting down the information I found relevant contributed to my ability to form an overview reflection of my work and helped me improve. Despite all the information I received from my research the process of making the GIFs still seemed difficult but using the app “Shortcuts” made that so much easier and enjoyable (of course because it meant less work for us), what I learned was we don’t need 10

Mission 1- Creativity Resources Blog 2/3 - GIFs 14-17/10/19 After brainstorming what possible GIFs we're able to do, we tried out a few practice GIFs on our phones which was really fun because it gave us a better understanding of the process and also we got closer as a team and we learned a lot from mistakes we've made, which was a plus. With some of the GIFs we had to retake them a few times because we had to get the perfect shot. For example the GIF of Francis we took was meant to be of him throwing the piece of paper into the bin but he missed, making us retake it 3-4 times and when we got the perfect shot but then we realised instead of using that we could use one of our failed attempts and make it symbolise our grade for that mission (as a JOKE). That was my favourite GIF because it was the only one with humour in it, despite it taking the longest to get. When it came to resources we didn’t have to do a lot of research on what app to use as Francis knew all o
